Suicide attacks targeted a foreign military convoy and a police headquarters in Afghanistan on June 30, killing at least three and wounding nearly 60 people.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack that targeted the NATO convoy on the Kabul airport road, near the U.S. Embassy.
The Interior Ministry said at least one civilian was killed and 19 others wounded.
The powerful blast rattled windows of nearby buildings and sent a plume of black smoke over the area.
The attack in the capital occurred just hours after a suicide bomber detonated a lorry packed with explosives at the gate of the police headquarters in the southern province of Helmand.
Local officials said the blast in the provincial capital, Lashkar Gah, killed two people and injured more than 40, all of them civilians.
The attacks come as the Taliban intensifies its spring offensive, which began in April.
