Local officials say a shoot-out at a wedding party in northern Afghanistan has killed at least 20 people and wounded 10 others.
Jaweed Basharat, the governor of Baghlan Province, said a gunfight broke out between two groups attending the wedding in the province's Andarab district late on July 26.
Police said most of the dead were guests attending the wedding of a local mullah's son at a private house.
According to district police chief Gulistan Qasani, there was a long-standing feud between the two groups involved in the gunfight.
Qasani said the clash broke out after a "relative of a provincial police official was assassinated during the wedding party."
The war against the Taliban is often used in Afghanistan as a cover for criminal activity and personal feud.
