Armenia Parties Through The Day (And Night)

After the election of opposition leader Nikol Pashinian on May 8, Armenians in the capital, Yerevan, celebrated on the street and inside the city's bars.

Shortly after the election of Armenia's new prime minister, some locals splashed into Yerevan's famous fountain.

A truck dumped a load of snow from Armenia's Mt. Aragats onto Yerevan's Republic Square. A snowball fight broke out shortly afterwards.

A couple from the Phillipines dancing on Republic Square. The husband told RFE/RL they were staying at a hotel near the square and decided to join the street celebrations: "Why not? It looked like a good party."

While the humans were enjoying themselves on Republic Square, the dogs were a little freaked out by the noise and crowds.
