A gunman has robbed a Tbilisi branch of the Bank of Georgia, the former Soviet republic's biggest bank.
State-run Bank of Georgia spokeswoman Sofia Balavadze told reporters a masked man with a gun rushed into a customer service center in the capital on January 30.
The gunman escaped with some cash, but Balavadze said it was not a large amount because security personnel had reacted swiftly to the intrusion, apparently promting him to flee.
The area around the bank's service center was cordoned off by police.
