Belarusian leader Alyaksandr Lukashenka, the Kremlin's staunchest ally in its war in Ukraine, said on June 30 that he was certain Russian tactical nuclear weapons deployed in his country would never be used. Lukashenka and Russian President Vladimir Putin have said some tactical weapons arrived in Belarus with more to be in place by the end of the year. After saying he was" more and more convinced that they must be stationed" in Belarus, Lukashenka added, "I'm certain that we will never have to use them while they are here.
