A man charged with the murder of a British soldier last week has appeared in a London court.
A handcuffed Michael Adebowale, 22, was remanded in custody to appear at Britain's central criminal court on June 3.
He was charged on May 29 with the murder of Lee Rigby, a 25-year-old serving soldier, and with possession of a gun.
Adebowale spent six days in the hospital after having been shot by police.
A second man, Michael Adebolajo, remains under arrest in the hospital.
Rigby was killed in broad daylight in southeast London on May 22 in a murder that shocked Britain.
He was struck by a car and then stabbed by two men near his barracks.
Gruesome images that emerged after the attack showed Adebowale and Adebolajo wielding bloody knives and meat cleavers.
