Man Arrested After Malaysian Attacked In London Riots

WATCH: The YouTube video that shocked Britain.

British police say they have arrested a suspect in connection with the robbery of a Malaysian student during riots in London this week by a group who pretended to be helping him.

The man, in his 20s, was taken into police custody.

Footage of a group of men pretending to help, then robbing, student Asyraf Haziq Rosli, who had been assaulted during the riots in Barking, east London, has become one of the most shocking images of the unrest.

The video has been watched almost 3 million times on YouTube and the incident prompted condemnation by Prime Minister David Cameron, who said the attack was "disgusting" and showed "there are things badly wrong with our society."

Rosli, 20, underwent surgery for a broken jaw following the attack.
