Ten people are reported to have died after flooding in Bulgaria.

Heavy rain in the Black Sea resort of Varna triggered a flood wave late on June 19.

TV footage showed smashed cars on top of each other on the streets of a suburb of the city where a state of emergency was declared.

Large parts of the Balkan country have been hit by heavy rain and hailstorms, and hundreds of people have been left without electricity and food supplies.

In late May, neighboring Balkan countries Serbia, Bosnia, and Croatia were hit by the heaviest rainfall since records began 120 years ago. At least 40 people were killed.
