MONDAY, November 15:


Belarus: EU's Enlargement and Neighborhood Commissioner Stefan Fule visits Minsk.

Bosnia-Herzegovina: Serbian President Boris Tadic visits Banja Luka to attend the inauguration of the new president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

Russia: Moscow hosts the second Russian film festival "Profession: Journalist" (to November 19).

Russia/Lebanon: Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri visits Moscow (to November 16).

Serbia/Czech Republic: Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic visits Prague, meets with Czech Prime Minister Petr Necas and President Vaclav Klaus.

World: Day of the Imprisoned Writer.



TUESDAY, November 16:


Russia
: First anniversary of the controversial death in police custody of a Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitsky.

Russia: President of Slovenia Danilo Turk visits Moscow (to November 19).

Russia: Trial opens of suspected murderers of Chechen dissident Umar Israilov in Vienna.

UN: International Day for Tolerance.



WEDNESDAY, November 17:

Armenia/Russia: Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian visits Moscow, meets with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

Belarus: The Odessa-Brody oil pipeline from Ukraine to Belarus is scheduled to test its pumping.

Iran/Azerbaijan: Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad visits Baku (to November 18).

World: International Students' Day.

THURSDAY, November 18:

Azerbaijan: Baku hosts the third Caspian Summit. Presidents of the five Caspian littoral countries (Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan) are expected to attend.

EU: Berlin hosts the second meeting of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.


FRIDAY, November 19:


NATO: NATO summit of heads of state and government opens in Lisbon (to November 20).


SATURDAY, November 20:


Russia: Russian President Dmitry Medvedev attends NATO-Russia Council meeting in Lisbon.
