MONDAY, June 20:

Armenia/Croatia/Macedonia/Serbia/Ukraine: Countries on the agenda as Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe opens in Strasbourg (to June 24).

Belarus: EU Foreign Affairs Council discusses situation in Belarus.

Balkans/EU: Foreign ministers of EU and western Balkan countries hold a regular meeting as a part of the EU-Western Balkans Forum.

Georgia/EU: New round of the Human Rights Dialogue opens in Brussels.

Iran: Opposition marks the second anniversary of the killing of Neda Agha Soltan by the governement's securirty forces.

Pakistan: The country marks 10 years since General Pervez Musharraf formally appointed himself president.

Russia: Kazan hosts the third International Islamic Business and Finance Summit (to June 21).

World: World Refugee Day.


TUESDAY, June 21:

Moldova: Moscow hosts a meeting on Transdniester in the 5+2 format.

Russia: The 11th Moscow International Oil & Gas Exhibition (MIOGE) opens (to June 24).

Russia/France: Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits Paris.

Ukraine/EU: Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych addresses the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.


WEDNESDAY, June 22:

World: The 22nd Crans Montana Forum opens (to June 25). Participating countries include Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Iraq, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, and Ukraine.

Armenia/EU: Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian addresses the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Russia/EU: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov meets EU ambassadors in Moscow.

Russia/Ukraine: Russian communists commemorate the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War in Lviv, Ukraine.

Tajikistan: Special Representative of NATO's Secretary-General for Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai visits Tajikistan.


THURSDAY, June 23:

Afghanistan/Pakistan: U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee holds hearing on Goals and Progress in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Iran: U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee holds hearing Iran and Syria: Next Steps.

Russia/Italy: Foreign and defense ministers of both countries meet in Moscow.

Russia: The 33rd Moscow International Film Festival 2011 opens (to July 2).


FRIDAY, June 24:

Russia: Kazan hosts President of Russia horse race.

Russia: International Future Media Forum takes place in Moscow.


SATURDAY, June 25:

Armenia/Azerbaijan/Russia: Russian, Armenian, and Azerbaijani presidents meet over Nagorno-Karabakh in Kazan.

Croatia/Slovenia: Croatia marks Statehood Day in commemmoration of the declaration of independence it declared along with Slovenia in 1991.

Iran: Tehran hosts international conference against terrorism (to June 26).


SUNDAY, June 26:

World: UN International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.
