MONDAY, March 17:

EU: The situation in Ukraine, exchange of views on Bosnia-Herzegovina, and the Middle East peace process are among topics to be discussed during the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels.

EU: European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee meeting begins in Brussels to discuss Russia, Georgia, and Iran (March 18).

Serbia: The international observers monitoring the early parliamentary elections in Serbia present their preliminary post-election statement at a news conference in Belgrade.
U.S./Poland/Baltics: U.S. Vice President Biden is scheduled to meet with Polish government leaders in Warsaw and to holds talks with the presidents of all three Baltic states in Vilnius (to March 19).

U.S./Uzbekistan: U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Fatema Sumar visits Tashkent and Termez (to March 19).
Uzbekistan: The EU-Uzbekistan Cooperation Council meeting starts in Brussels.


TUESDAY, March 18:

Azerbaijan/Afghanistan: Afghan Foreign Minister Zarar Ahmad Osmani is scheduled to visit Baku (to March 19).

EU: Brussels hosts a meeting of the General Affairs Council.

Iran: Vienna hosts another meeting between representatives of the six world powers and Iran (to March 19).

Kazakhstan/China: Kazakh Foreign Minister Erlan Idrisov visits Beijing (to March 19).

Russia/France: French foreign and defense ministers hold a meeting with their Russian counterparts in Moscow.

UK/Georgia: Chatham House in London hosts a discussion titled "Georgian Foreign Policy in a New Era."

Uzbekistan/EU: Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov meets with EU officials in Brussels (to March 19).

World: London hosts "The Guardian" Changing Media Summit 2014 (to March 19).


WEDNESDAY, March 19:
Ukraine/EU: Ukrainian Energy Minister Yuriy Prodan visits Brussels, meets with EU Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger.
THURSDAY, March 20:
EU: Brussels hosts a European Council meeting (to March 21).
EU/Macedonia: Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Besimi and Foreign Minister Nikola Popovski visit Brussels and meet with EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fuele.


FRIDAY, March 21:
Russia: Russia's State Duma, the lower house of parliament, is expected to review a package of documents on simplified Russian citizenship procedures.

Russia/Ukraine: A bill to simplify the procedures for new territories, including Crimea, to join the Russian Federation is expected to have its first reading in Russia's State Duma.

Ukraine: The European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) is scheduled to provide its conclusions on the situation in Ukraine at its plenary session (to March 22).

Ukraine/EU: The political section of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union is expected to be signed.

UN: International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

World: Brussels Forum 2014 opens (to March 23).


SATURDAY, March 22:

Canada/Ukraine: Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper visits Kyiv.
