MONDAY, April 4:

Armenia/Serbia: Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian pays an official visit to Belgrade (to April 5).

Georgia: Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze pays a working visit to Spain.

Greece/Azerbaijan: Greek President Karlos Papoulias visits Baku, meets with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev (to April 6).

Kazakhstan: Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) issues a statement of preliminary election-monitoring findings at a press conference in Astana.


TUESDAY, April 5:

Belgium/Russia: Russian President Dmitry Medvedev meets with Crown Prince Philippe of Belgium in Moscow.

Georgia/Moldova: Moldova, Georgia, and six other countries to participate in NATO’s Viking military exercises (to April 17).

Pakistan: British Prime Minister David Cameron visits Islamabad.

Russia: Moscow hosts the International Energy Forum (to April 9).

Russia: Ramzan Kadyrov to be inaugurated for second term as president of the North Caucasus Republic of Chechnya.

Russia: Russia is scheduled to launch a Soyuz-21 spacecraft to the International Space Station from Baikonur, Kazakhstan.

Ukraine: Ukraine and the European Union to have another round of negotiations on the Association Agreement in Brussels.


THURSDAY, April 7:

Kyrgyzstan: Kyrgyzstan to mark the first anniversary of the uprising that toppled former Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiev.

FRIDAY, April 8:

Russia: Russian opposition is scheduled to hold a Day of Wrath protest in Moscow.
