MONDAY, April 11:

Armenia: OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs visit Yerevan (to April 12).

Pakistan/U.S.: Head of Pakistani intelligence General Ahmed Shuja Pasha visits the United States and is expected to meet with the head of the CIA.

Pakistan/Turkey: Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari pays an official visit to Turkey (to April 14).

Russia/Poland: Russian President Dmitry Medvedev meets his Polish counterpart Bronislaw Komorowski in Smolensk.

Serbia: Serbian President Boris Tadic visits Kuwait.

Tajikistan: U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Affairs Robert Blake visits Dushanbe.

World: World Bank publishes its annual World Development Report.


TUESDAY, April 12:

Azerbaijan: U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency Director Kenneth Myers pays an official visit to Azerbaijan.

Russia: Fiftieth anniversary of Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin's first-ever manned orbital flight.

Russia/Ukraine: Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits Kyiv, meets Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.


WEDNESDAY, April 13:

Azerbaijan: OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs visit Baku.

Russia: Russian President Dmitry Medvedev pays a working visit to China, visits Hong Kong (to April 17).

Ukraine: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk visits Kyiv, meets Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.


THURSDAY, April 14:

Georgia: NATO-Georgia commission on the foreign ministerial level to be held on the sidelines of a NATO foreign ministers’ meeting in Berlin.

Kazakhstan/India: Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visits Astana to hold talks with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev.

Russia: An energy deal between Russian oil company Rosneft and BP, under which a share-swap agreement will terminate, expires.

World: Leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa meet in the Chinese coastal city Sanya for BRICS Summit.


FRIDAY, April 15:

Balkans: UN war crimes tribunal is scheduled to deliver its verdict in the cases of Croatian generals Ante Gotovina, Ivan Cermak, and Mladen Markac.


SATURDAY, April 16:

Azerbaijan/Iran/Turkey: Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Iran, and Turkey to hold a meeting in Urumiyeh, Iran.

Serbia: Serbian Progress Party (SNS) stages demonstration in Belgrade calling for early elections.

World: Prague Writers' Festival opens (to April 20).


SUNDAY, April 17:

Iraq/Czech Republic: Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari visits Prague (to April 20).

Kyrgyzstan: Local elections.
