Prince Charles Visiting Armenia

Prince Charles has arrived in Yerevan for a visit to Armenia.

With the visit, the eldest child and heir apparent of Queen Elizabeth II becomes the first member of the British royal family to tour Armenia.

Charles was expected to attend a series of charitable events dedicated to the preservation of Armenian cultural heritage, including a concert and dinner.

The prince is described as being a guest of the Yerevan-based My Love foundation, established by a former Armenian prime minister and ambassador to Britain, Armen Sarkisian.

Charles was also expected to meet with President Serzh Sarkisian and with leader of the Armenian Orthodox Church, Catholicos Karekin II.
