The two met on November 20 on the sidelines of a summit of Asian countries taking place in Cambodia.
Obama described U.S.-China relations as "cooperative and constructive."
The U.S. leader said it is important for the two nations to set "clear rules of the road" on trade and investment.
Despite strains, Wen said he and Obama share the view that the U.S.-China relationship is one of the most important in the world.
The meeting most likely was Obama's last with Wen.
