The U.S. State Department has announced that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been discharged from a New York hospital, where she was receiving treatment for a blood clot.
A statement said Clinton was discharged from New York-Presbyterian hospital on January 2.
It said Clinton's doctors believe she is making "good progress on all fronts, and they are confident she will make a full recovery."
It added that Clinton was "eager" to get back to work.
Clinton was earlier on January 2 photographed leaving a hospital building with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and their daughter, Chelsea.
Clinton, 65, was admitted to the hospital on December 30 for treatment of a clot between her brain and skull.
The clot is believed linked to the concussion she suffered in December after fainting and falling down at home while battling a virus.
