Croatia has extradited the former head of its secret service, Josip Perkovic, to Germany, where he is wanted in connection with the murder of a Yugoslav dissident during the 1980s.
Croatian state TV said Perkovic was handed over to German authorities at Zagreb airport and flown to Munich on January 24.
Perkovic is accused in Germany of masterminding the murder of Stjepan Djurekovic, who was killed in Germany in 1983, allegedly by the Yugoslav secret service.
At the time, Perkovic was a senior Yugoslav secret service official.
He denies any links to Djurekovic's killing.
Germany has been seeking Perkovic's extradition since 2005.
Croatia had changed its laws to block the extradition a few days before it joined the European Union in July 2013.
Under pressure from Brussels, it reversed the law in October.
