Two Russian missiles, launched 40 minutes apart, struck the city of Pokrovsk in Ukraine's Donetsk region on the evening of August 7, killing at least seven people and wounding nearly 70.

Ukraine's Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said on August 8, "We are resuming clearing the rubble. At night, we were forced to suspend work due to the high threat of repeated shelling."
