Turkey's interior minister, Idris Naim Sahin, says three people have been killed in an explosion that rocked the center of the Turkish capital Ankara.

Earlier reports said more than a dozen people were wounded.

A Turkish deputy prime minister, Bulent Arinc, said officials suspected a bomb had been planted in or on a vehicle.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
