An apparent dispute between an Afghan soldier and a foreign soldier on the outskirts of Kabul has left the Afghan dead and the foreigner with wounds to his legs.
Afghan and NATO officials said they were still trying to find out details of the October 26 shooting.
Reports spoke of another so-called "insider attack" where an insurgent wearing an Afghan military uniform or Afghan soldier with loyalties to the insurgents suddenly attacks foreign troops.
Afghan and NATO officials so far say it appears an argument broke out between the armed soldiers that led to a gunfight.
An investigation into the incident is under way.
