Muslim-Americans attending the Democratic National Convention have called for unity and engagement in the political process. On the sidelines of the event in Philadelphia, the founder of the Council on American-Islamic-Relations, Nihad Awad, said Americans of all faiths needed to reject Islamophobia. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has called for a temporary ban on some Muslims entering the United States. A delegate to the convention, Saleema Saswaal, called on young Muslims, and all young people, to get involved in the political process. (VOA)
