Police: At Least Five People Gunned Down In Texas Skating Rink

Police say a man opened fire at a roller-skating rink in Texas late on July 23, killing five people and wounding at least three others before shooting himself.

Authorities say the incident took place around 7 p.m. local time on July 23 after a heated fight between a husband and wife during a birthday party at Forum Foller World in the city of Grand Prairie, which is 24 kilometers west of Dallas.

Police have not disclosed additional details about the shooting, with Grand Prairie Police Chief Steve Dye telling Reuters that "at this point" the violence appears to have been caused by a "domestic situation."

Police say the incident is under investigation.
