Saakashvili Says Criminal Charges Against Him Are 'Ludicrous'

Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, now an outspoken Ukrainian opposition figure, accused the presidents of Ukraine and Georgia of conspiring against him after a Tbilisi court sentenced him to three years in prison in absentia for abuse of power. Saakashvili made the charge during a news conference in Kyiv on January 5. (RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service)
