Greek Debt Inspectors Complete Review

Inspectors from the European Union, International Monetary Fund, and the European Central Bank say Greece is likely to receive in November an 8-billion euro aid tranche it needs to prevent bankruptcy.

The inspectors made the announcement in a joint statement on October 11 after a weeks-long review of Greece's finances. The statement said that while Greece's deficit targets for 2011 are "no longer within reach," additional measures announced will be adequate for 2012.
