Iran Pulls Reuters Accreditations After Video Complaint

The suspension of the Reuters accreditations came after a complaint over a video showing women's martial-arts training in Iran.
The Iranian government has suspended the accreditation of Reuters' staff in Tehran after that news agency published a video on female martial-arts training that contained an error.

The video was originally titled "Thousands of female ninjas train as Iran's assassins" but was changed to "Three thousand women ninjas train in Iran" after the martial arts club in the video complained.

Reuters said Iran's Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance contracted its Tehran bureau chief on March 29 and later 11 Reuters' staffers were told to hand over their media cards.

Reuters said its editor in chief is in contact with Iranian officials and hopes to have the accreditation restored.
