Fierce Fighting Shakes Fallujah, Iraq

Iraqi soldiers battled militants of the Al-Qaeda-linked group the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant on May 15 as fighting spread in the city of Fallujah. The fierce fighting in the Al-Sijr district started five days ago, while clashes in other parts of Fallujah have destroyed residential neighborhoods over recent months. (RFE/RL's Radio Free Iraq)
