'Women Also Guilty' In Bride Kidnappings, Says Former President
Abduction and forced marriage -- often referred to as bride kidnapping -- has come to prominence in Kyrgyzstan since the killing of a young woman by her abductor last month. Former Kyrgyz President Roza Otunbaeva spoke out against the practice, warning that women also take part in coercing other women to marry against their will.
