The pretrial detention of former Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Jenish Razakov on charges of fraud and abuse of office has been extended until at least April 24, Razakov's lawyer Aibek Omurov told RFE/RL on February 23. Razakov was arrested in late January on suspicion of illegally obtaining $1 million from an individual via a fraud scheme in 2017.
