Afghan officials say a mass grave has been discovered in northern Afghanistan.
Faiz Mohammad Tawhidi, a spokesman for the governor of Takhar province, said villagers discovered the grave in the Rustaq district of Takhar.
He said officials estimated between 20 and 30 bodies so far had been recovered, and that the grave might be decades old. An investigation is under way.
