U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has met with the Israeli and Palestinian leaders as part of Washington's campaign to encourage the two sides to reach a framework peace agreement.
Kerry met in Ramallah with Palestinian National Authority President Mahmud Abbas.
Earlier on January 3, he held more talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
It is Kerry's 10th visit to the region in around a year.
He has been pressuring the Israelis and Palestinians to reach a framework deal by the end of April. Talks were relaunched last July.
During Kerry’s visit, Israel said it carried out a successful test of its Arrow missile-defense system designed to intercept long-range missiles.
The system is being developed in cooperation with the United States, and U.S. officials attended the test.
