Missing Journalist Found Dead In Russia

A journalist in Russia who had been missing for several days has been found dead in the country's Kirov region.

Russia's Investigative Committee said on June 15 that the body of 48-year-old Galina Koshcheyeva had been found a day earlier in a forest near the town of Suny.

Officials said her body carried traces of violence but did not elaborate.

Koshcheyeva, the editor in chief of "Rodnoi Krai," a local newspaper, went missing on June 10.

Investigative Committee officials said they do not believe Koshcheyeva's death is connected to her professional activities, saying that it may have been related to a domestic dispute.

Investigations are under way.
