Ex-Moscow Deputy Police Chief Suspected In Office Abuse


A probe has been launched against the former deputy chief of the Moscow police.

Russian Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said on May 12 that Major General Vladimir Morozov was suspected of abuse of office and will be interrogated soon.

According to Markin, Morozov is suspected in 2013 of using services from business groups tied to investigations in financial misdeeds and fraudulent activities

Morozov retired earlier this week.
