Three more people hoping to run in Moscow's September mayoral election have filed their registration forms with election officials.

On June 15, anticorruption blogger and opposition figure Aleksei Navalny, State Duma Deputy Mikhail Degtyaryov, and Sergei Mitrokhin, the chairman of the opposition Yabloko party, handed over required documents to the Moscow Election Commission.

The new additions mean there are now eight people who have handed in documents to the Moscow commission for the mayoral race.

Acting Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has yet to hand in his registration but has expressed an intention to run in the September 8 vote.
