Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev will make a working visit to Moscow on March 17.

Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesman Askar Abdrakhmanov said Nazarbaev would meet with the "Russian leadership" and discuss bilateral ties.

Nazarbaev is making the visit to the Kremlin in the middle of a campaign for the presidency back home in Kazakhstan.

Nazarbaev, who is predicted to easily win the April 3 election, faces three challengers.

The incumbent said he will not go out and campaign.
