A U.S. drone strike in the Shawal Valley of Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal region killed at least four militants on May 16.
Agencies quoted unnamed Pakistani security officials as saying the strikes killed members of the Punjabi Taliban and foreign militants believed to be Arabs.
The officials said the drone fired two missiles and hit a compound in the Wara Mandi area of the remote and mountainous Shawal Valley. Four to seven militants were reported killed.
The valley's heavily forested ravines are one of the last major strongholds of the Taliban in North Waziristan, a region that borders Afghanistan.
