U.K. Police Treating Plane Incident As Criminal, Not Terror-Related

British police say they are treating an incident on a Pakistan International Airlines plane as criminal rather than terror-related.

The plane was escorted by military planes to an airport near London after the unspecified incident on May 24.

After the plane landed safely at Stansted Airport, police went on board and arrested two men "on suspicion of endangerement of an aircraft."

Police said the men, aged 30 and 41, were taken away for questioning.

The plane carrying more than 300 passengers and crew was flying from Lahore, in Pakistan, to Manchester, in northwestern England.

Reports quoting passengers on board the plane said the incident appeared to stem from an argument between some of the passengers and the crew.

The incident happened just days after a British soldier was brutally killed on a London street in a suspected terror attack.
