Pakistani Judge Drops Charges Against Nine-Month-Old Baby

A Pakistani judge has dismissed attempted murder charges against a nine-month-old baby boy in a case that has drawn worldwide attention.

The charges against Musa Khan were thrown out after police withdrew charges against him on April 12.

Khan sat on his grandfather's lap in the court in Lahore as the judge dismissed the charges.

Irfan Tarar, a lawyer for Khan's family, says police last week charged the entire family -- including the nine-month-old Khan -- with attempted murder of a policeman after a fight between police and gas company workers and members of Khan's family over an unpaid gas bill.

Khan's grandfather and his three sons still face attempted murder charges.

Khan was in court earlier this week to be fingerprinted by officials.
