The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has confirmed that U.S. gymnast Jordan Chiles must return an Olympic bronze medal after sport's highest court annulled an inquiry filed by her coach that vaulted Chiles to third. The Court of Arbitration for Sport said on August 10 that the inquiry came outside the 1-minute time limit allowed by the International Gymnastics Federation. The IOC said it would respect the court’s ruling and reallocate the bronze from the August 5 women's floor exercise final to Romanian Ana Barbosu.
