Imprisoned Russian opposition politician Aleksei Navalny has been placed in a punitive solitary confinement cell for the ninth time since mid-August, his Telegram channel said on December 14. This time, Navalny was sent to solitary confinement for 12 days for using a swear word when talking to a cellmate.
