Russia's Putin Plays Hockey With NHL Veterans

Russian President Vladimir Putin has played in an exhibition ice hockey game with veterans of the NHL.

Putin, 62, scored eight goals, helping his team to their 18-6 victory.

The friendly match was played on May 16 in Sochi, the resort Russian city that hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics.

During his presidency, Putin has constantly displayed his athletic skills, including his prowess in judo and swimming.

But he has also taken up ice hockey recently in a bid to promote the sport.
