Second Explosion In Kenyan Capital Causes Casualties

Reports say a large explosion was heard in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi on the night of October 24.

Kenyan media say the blast occurred at a bus stop. At least one person was reported killed, and eight injured.

Earlier on October 24, a grenade exploded in a Nairobi bar, wounding 13 people, two days after the U.S. Embassy in Kenya warned that an attack was imminent as the east African nation sent soldiers into neighboring Somalia earlier this month to pursue militants from the Islamist al-Shabab group.

Kenya blames the insurgents for recent kidnappings near the border, which al-Shabab denies.
