Shevchenko Retires From International Soccer

Andriy Shevchenko has played 111 times for his country, scoring 48 goals.
Ukraine captain Andriy Shevchenko says he's played his last official international soccer game for Ukraine.

Shevchenko spoke after Ukraine were knocked out of the Euro 2012 football championships with a 1-0 loss to England on June 19.

He said he would play one last friendly for Ukraine to say goodbye to his fans.

The 35-year-old Shevchenko, who was crowned European Footballer of the Year in 2004, played 111 times for Ukraine.
