Six Killed, 23 Injured In Suicide Attack On Kabul Hospital

A suicide bombing, followed by a fight between Taliban insurgents and security forces inside a military hospital in Kabul, has killed six people and injured 23 others.

Afghan Defense Ministry spokesman, General Mohammed Zaher Azimi, said at least three of the dead at the Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan hospital, in central Kabul, were medical students.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Taliban spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, said two of their bombers, equipped with explosives and automatic weapons, breached security barriers and carried out multi-pronged attacks inside the hospital.
