Tajik Former Militant Describes Horrors Of Islamic State

Farruh Sharifov, a Tajik man from the city of Khujand, traveled to Syria to fight alongside militants of the Islamic State, but fled from the group after he saw their brutal tactics. Speaking to the public in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, on May 7, Sharifov described witnessing beheadings and other actions that he described as barbaric. (RFE/RL's Tajik Service)
