Turkey Jails Ten Syrians Over Istanbul Bomb Attack

A Turkish court has jailed 10 Syrians with suspected links to the suicide bomber who killed 10 Germans in Istanbul last week.

The ten Syrian nationals were accused of belonging to the Islamic State group and were remanded in custody.

Six others were released on bail and proceedings against a minor are ongoing.

Authorities have said that the Saudi-born Syrian suicide bomber was affiliated with the Islamic State group.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Ten German tourists were killed and 17 others were injured in the January 12 bombing in Sultanahmet, the heart of Istanbul’s tourist district.
