Kateryna Bondarenko of Ukraine defeated second-seeded Timea Babos of Hungary to win the title at Tashkent Open WTA tennis tournament.
The veteran Bondarenko, 31, who is ranked 133rd in the WTA, scored the 6-4, 6-4 victory over the Hungarian in one hour 28 minutes on September 30 in the Uzbek capital.
Babos was ranked 52nd in the WTA.
"I was happy to finish the match in two sets, I was getting tired," Bondarenko said.
Bondarenko will return to a Top 100 ranking with the victory, which earned her a prize of $43,000.
