STRASBOURG, France -- EU foreign ministers are expected to add four names next week to their list of Ukrainian people targeted by asset freezes for misappropriating Ukrainian state funds.
EU officials said the ministers are due to make the move when they meet in Luxembourg on April 14.
Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych is already on the list, along with his sons.
The foreign ministers may also add names and entities such as banks on a separate Russian list and decide on a weapons embargo on Moscow when it comes to new licenses.
There might also be a push to ban imports from Crimea.
However, there are deep divisions among member states on whether they want to proceed this far.
Germany has argued that harsh measures might spoil the contact-group meeting between the foreign ministers of the United States, Russia, Ukraine, and the EU foreign-policy chief that is likely to take place in Geneva on April 16.
