Ukrainian Boxer Lomachenko Set To Defend WBO Title

Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko will face Cuba’s Guillermo Rigondeaux to defend his World Boxing Organization junior-lightweight title.

The December 9 match between 29-year-old Lomachenko and the undefeated Rigondeaux is scheduled to take place in New York at Madison Square Garden.

Both boxers have won multiple Olympic gold medals.

Lomachenko’s record is 9-1 with seven knockouts. Rigondeaux is 17-0 with 11 knockouts.
