Yemen's Saleh Calls For Dialogue

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has given his first televised address since suffering serious injuries during an attack on his presidential palace in early June and leaving the country for medical aid.

In a brief video aired on Yemen state TV, burns were clearly visible on Saleh's face. He said they had required eight operations.

The message was aired from a military hospital in Saudi Arabia, where the Yemeni president and other officials are receiving treatment.

Saleh, speaking from a military hospital in Saudi Arabia, called on "all factions" for dialogue and said he was ready for power-sharing within the framework of Yemen's constitution.
