7 June 2004 -- Bosnia's international administrator, Paddy Ashdown, said today that Bosnian Serbs have two weeks to show cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal.
Ashdown said Bosnian Serb authorities must offer "clear and concrete proof" that they are "ready to accept their international obligations."
He did not specify what will happen if the Bosnian Serb authorities did not comply before the deadline passes. But he indicated that the whole of the Bosnian state would continue to face international isolation.
Ashdown was speaking at a joint press conference in Belgrade with Serbia and Montenegro Foreign Minister Vuk Draskovic.
Draskovic said both Bosnian Serb and Serbia and Montenegro authorities must explain to their publics that the cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal is their "national obligation."
